The 2010 Winter Olympics, formally the XXI Olympic Winter Games is also known as the 21st Winter Olympics, will be a most important universal multi-sport occasion that will be held on February 12–28, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Some of the events will be played in the resort town of Whistler, British Columbia and in the Vancouver neighborhood of Richmond. Both the Olympic and Paralympic Games are going to be categorize by the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC). It will be the third time that Canada will be hosting the Olympics and the first by the state of British Columbia. Pursuing Olympic ritual, the then Vancouver mayor Sam Sullivan acknowledged the Olympic flag at the closing function of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. The flag was raised on February 28, 2006, in a distinctive ceremony, and it will be exhibited at Vancouver City Hall until the Olympic opening ceremony. Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were on Jimmy Kimmel last night (video below) with a big news announcement: The final episode of Lost will air on May 23. Don’t bother checking your calendar, I’m sure mine is pretty much the same. Yes, May 23 is a Sunday. And yes, Lost normally airs on Tuesdays

I’m not sure why they’re doing this. I’ve asked ABC and will update this if they get back to me. (UPDATE: It’s being done simply to make it a bigger event.)
But from what I can ascertain, Season 6 of Lost is set to be 18 hours long, with the premiere and finale each being two hours. This leaves us with 16 nights of Lost, and when put on a calendar with the May 23 end date, that leaves one week open. Again, I’ve asked ABC when that date will be, and will update if I hear.
In another bit of Lost-dating news, it was announced at the premiere event in Hawaii that the Season 6 DVD set will be available this summer. Not really a surprise. But of greater importance is that the Complete Series DVD set, which is sure to be loaded with goodies, will also be released this summer. And probably set you back at least $200.

Gregory House is a brilliant man, a genius, but in some ways he can be enormously stupid. He is always searching for his answers, for reason behind actions, and sometimes his obsession with everything fitting into a perfect little box means that he misses out on important things. Like, for instance, Kutner’s depression leading to his suicide a few episodes ago or Cuddy’s behavior in the season five finale of “House.” After miraculously detoxing in one day last week, House and Cuddy finally ended up in bed together and he is still glowing the morning after. This might be the happiest and most settled House we’ve seen on the show, so of course it means he is about to be screwed over in some way.

The patient of the week is a man named Scott who had surgery on his brain for seizures, and it left the two brain hemispheres separate from one another. They cannot communicate and his right brain thinks it is hilarious to mess with the more dominant left brain. His right brain is awesome, except when it decides to hit his girlfriend. Not cool. Scott’s kidneys are failing and he’s bleeding from the eyes, plus he sweats heavily and his heart is creating clots all over his body. Poor Scott, especially considering his doctor is much more focused on getting into Cuddy’s pants again. The girlfriend is the one who comes up with the diagnosis this week - for real - and points out that the right brain/left hand freaked out at her when she brought him his ultra-strength deodorant. It also hit her right then too, so maybe it is trying to tell him that the deodorant is dangerous. The right brain then touches her with its hand in a sweet caress. Awww … that’s kind of creepy.
