The fourth season begins with Jamie Kennedy joining the cast as Eli James, a professor of psychology. His field of study may help him come to terms with a new gift that has him thinking he’s going crazy. Melinda meets Eli after Jim rescues him from a fire at the university, and she soon discovers that Eli’s near-death experience has given him the ability to hear ghosts but not see them.
